The Detroit Society for Coatings
Technology (DSCT) is sponsoring the 33rd
Annual FOCUS
Conference. Themed, “Transformation in Transportation
Coatings,” the meeting will be held on Thursday, May 1,
2008, at the MSU Management Center in Troy, Michigan.
Persons or organizations wishing to make a 30 minute
presentation at the conference should submit
presentation title, abstract, and contact information to
the conference chairperson, Renee Shreves (renee.shreves@dowreichhold.com)
by November 16, 2007. Presentations should be aimed at
practical applications of concepts, materials or
equipment for the coatings industry.
The conference is an educational event
for coatings formulators, manufacturers, end users, raw
material and equipment suppliers, educators and
students. It features speakers in two tracks, and
typically offers separate morning and afternoon
tutorials on technical subject matter.
FOCUS
2008 will also feature an all day Coatings Showcase
exhibit by suppliers to the coatings industry. The
registration fee is very modest, and includes lunch and
coffee breaks. In 2007, the
FOCUS Conference attracted
approximately 200 attendees.
