Clean, Green, and Lean: The New Reality
The
Detroit Society for Coatings Technology (DSCT) is
sponsoring the 34th Annual
FOCUS
Conference. The theme of the 2009 conference is Clean,
Green, and Lean: the New Reality.
FOCUS
Conference 2009 will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009,
at the MSU Management Center in Troy, Michigan.
The
conference is an educational event for coatings
formulators, manufacturers, end users, raw material and
equipment suppliers, educators and students. The Keynote
address will be given by Bryce Hoffman, Automotive
Journalist for the Detroit News. Mr. Hoffman’s insights
into the Automotive Industry will be appreciated by all
attendees.
The
technical conference will feature speakers in two tracks
covering topics on paint formulation, applications
processes, and paint performance and appearance.
FOCUS 2009 will
offer separate morning and afternoon tutorials: one on
IR Reflective Pigments by David Story of BASF and one on
UV Coatings Technology presented by Mike Dvorchak of
Bayer.
FOCUS
2009 will also feature an all day Coatings Showcase
exhibit by suppliers to the coatings industry. The
registration fee is very modest, and includes lunch and
coffee breaks. In 2007 and 2008, each
FOCUS
Conference attracted more than 200 attendees.
